Sole Slam Manila 2014

Sole Slam Manila, the first sneaker convention in Manila, now on its third year, just recently wrapped up another successful sneaker event held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, Metro Manila. Founded by Antonio Aguirre Jr. together with the pioneers of the local sneaker scene, Sole Haven, Sole Slam Manila has been an avenue for sneaker connoisseurs to buy, sell and trade footwear and street wear on the market in the Philippines. This years event was graced by adult film actress, Jesse Jane and international cover girl, Lux. Both celebrities were met with wild and cheering roars of the male members of the sneaker community upon going up the stage. They didn't fail to entertain as they teased the crowd and gave away signed Saucony samples. The event also saw Rastaclat founder Daniel Kasidi (donning a Gilas Pilipinas no.8 jersey with #CLATLIFE on the back) making an appearance and giving away some fresh Rastaclat items such as belts, playing cards deck and Rastaclats to the delight of the crowd. Hosted by MC Pao and DXC Las Vegas' Anton Guerrero  and together with performances by some of the top local DJs in the country, the event was lively and full of energy that kept the crowd going all the way till 8pm in the evening.


This was my first sneaker convention and will definitely be not my last! It was just a great feeling seeing sneaker connoisseurs all sharing the same love and passion with sneakers, all under one roof.
